Do you need to apostille your diploma for Kuwait?

As of the date of this article, Kuwait is not a member of the Hague Apostille Convention (Convention of 5 October 1961 Abolishing the Requirement of Legalization for Foreign Public Documents). Documents originating from the USA and destined for this Kuwait requires several steps to complete. These steps are commonly referred as the “Legalization Process”. These three steps are necessary in order for the country of Kuwait to accept your documents.
The process of authenticating your diploma for Kuwait may also be referred to as certification, legalization, and attestation. The words may be different but the process is still the same.
In order to legalize your diploma for Kuwait, it will need to be signed and notarized by the University’s Registrar before you mail it to our office with the following set up documents.
In addition to your notarized diploma signed by the University’s Registrar, the Embassy will also request the following:
- Cover letter from applicant stating the purpose for authentication and the applicant’s contact information.
- Copy of applicant’s passport.
- Official sealed transcripts.
- Verification of the diploma from www.studentclearinghouse.org
