At Apostille, Inc., we take the guesswork out of obtaining an apostille on your FBI background check.  FBI background checks are U.S. Federal documents and are processed through our office in Washington D.C.

Our trained and knowledgeable staff are available Monday-Saturday from 9am to 6pm to answer your questions and provide you easy to follow step-by-step instructions.

If you receive your FBI background check in a digital format (PDF copy), go ahead and e-mail it to us with the completed order form and payment (see below).  If you receive your FBI background by regular mail (Hard copy), go ahead and mail it to our Washington DC apostille office with our order forms (see below).  We can process a digital PDF copy or a hard copy.  It’s your choice.

If you have not obtained your FBI background check, please contact our office so we can recommend an FBI Channeler.  Please note that FBI background checks are not notarized and only processed in Washington, D.C.

Documents originating from the U.S. Federal Government are processed directly from the U.S. Department of State in Washington, D.C. – Office of Authentications. Where can I apostille my FBI background check?

What is an FBI apostille?
An FBI apostille is a letter size long form certificate which authenticates the public official who has signed your documents. An apostille does not authenticate the contents of your documents. Please review your FBI background check for accuracy before you send it to our office.

Does an FBI background check apostille expire?
A FBI apostille issued by the U.S. Department of State does not have an expiration date. Please check with the country requesting your documents if they have any reservations. For most countries, they may request your FBI background check to be issued within the past three to six months with the apostille.

Can I walk in for the apostille service in Washington DC?
Our offices are currently mail-in only. There is no walk-in service available at our office. Please contact our office for immediate assistance. Our knowledgeable staff will review your documents and provide you easy to follow step-by-step instructions.

Can I email you the FBI background check or do I need to mail it in to the Washington, D.C. office?
The answer to this question depends on how you received your background check. If you have received your FBI background check in a digital format (PDF copy) from the FBI Channeler or FBI, go ahead and email it to our office with the completed order forms. If you have received your FBI background by regular mail (Hard copy), go ahead and mail it to our Washington DC office with our completed order forms. We can process a digital PDF copy or a hard copy. It’s your choice.

During the Summer season (June through September) there can be additional delays in processing your documents. During the Holiday season (November 15 to January 15) there can be additional delays in processing your documents.
