Are you planning to travel with your child or children and need an apostille for a travel consent letter?
We can apostille travel consent letters that have been signed and notarized in all 50 U.S. states, the District of Columbia, and the U.S. Federal Government (notarized at a U.S. Embassy for another country). For countries who are not members of the Hague Apostille Convention, we can also process your travel consent letter through the U.S. Department of State in Washington, D.C., and the appropriate Embassy or Consulate office.
A travel consent letter allows your minor child or children to travel outside the country with another person, such as a parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, sibling, etc. You can obtain a travel consent letter from the airline, travel agency, or find a sample online.
The letter typically states that you are granting permission for one or more individuals to take your child or children out of the USA. It should include details such as travel dates, your full name, the full name of the child, the name of the person the child will travel with, the destination country, passport numbers, and the return date. Providing as much information as possible, including airline details, is recommended.
The travel consent letter must be signed and notarized by the person granting permission. Once signed and notarized, the document can be mailed to our office for processing. You will need to download our apostille order forms and mail your original notarized document to us. We suggest finding a notary with at least five years of experience who adheres to their state’s notarial laws. Incorrectly notarized letters may be rejected, leading to delays and extra costs.
Please note: We can only assist with travel consent letters signed and notarized in all 50 U.S. states, the District of Columbia, and the U.S. Federal Government (notarized at a U.S. Embassy for another country). If your letter was signed and notarized in another country, you must contact the appropriate authority in that country.
