Foreign governments who are members of the Hague Apostille Convention require a “Certificate of Free Sale” to receive an apostille when companies export products to them. The certificate of free sale is evidence that goods, such as food items and/or cosmetics, are legally sold or distributed in the open market, freely without restriction, and approved by the regulatory authorities in the country of origin.
A Certificate of Free Sale can be issued by the local Chamber of Commerce, State, private company, and the Federal Government (FDA, TTB, etc..). In order to determine who should issue the Certificate of Free Sale, we recommend that you check with the people requesting your document.
Please Note: We can only help you with documents originating from or notarized within the United States and for another country.
Obtaining an apostille on a Certificate of Free Sale can be complicated. Don’t leave this process to untrained employees or non-professionals who do not fully understand the apostille process and the unique requirements of certain countries. Your paperwork could be rejected costing you time and money. Don’t let this happen to you!
